As you can tell from the pictures, this hospital visit went much better than the last one. She did great. I will write soon and let you know what we found out. She is such a brave little girl and had more done to her than most adults could handle. Most of the time she was all smiles. I can tell you most adults could learn from her. She is awesome! More details to come about what we found out. Still recovering from the lack of sleep!
Things have been a bit crazy lately. From this week until after October the Godknecht's are busy, busy, busy. First, there is an elder prayer for Autumn's epilepsy on Wednesday, then there is a scrapbooking (why does spell check always underline, it is a word people!) retreat, then 3 days in the hospital with Autumn, then Oct 4/5 couple's retreat, Then disney world! And, Mike's mom is coming to visit next week! Whew, that is a lot of stuff. I cannot get excited about disney until Autumn is out of the hospital. But, we need that vacation as a family. Just the three of us, no school, no work, no pets! Just us and Disney for 7 days!!! And, it is already paid for, wahoo!
On a side note, Autumn is doing well in school. So far things have been fine since that initial first week. The only problem we seemed to have is with her dance schedule. She takes tap/ballet on Mondays. She took all last year, but she was not in school on Mondays. So, this last Monday she said she was going to have a "funny feeling," but she never did. Anyway, she almost always does eventually if she says she is going to have one. She did okay during tap, but she had a seizure in ballet class. With all the moms watching through the 2-way glass. Now, Autumn's seizures are not scary to watch (like a grand mal, those are scary,) but, they are weird. As she is getting older and going to be in public more, my heart just aches for her to never have to be embarrassed. Fortunately, with seizures, Autumn doesn't even have a clue what she is doing during them. But, I know all the little girls and parents were just frozen. Doing that much dance after school just wore her little body out. So, we talked and talked to Autumn about dance and we have decided to change her to the Saturday class. It is in the middle of the day and ballet is paired with jazz instead of tap. Which I prefer. How many famous tap dancers do you know? (Don't email me, I like tap, I just prefer jazz.) Jazz could lead into drill team or something down the road. Hopefully, this will allow her to be more rested at dance and avoid the whole seizure issue. However, seizures will be a part of Autumn's life and she will have them in front of people, including strangers. My prayer for her is that she learns that God will help her through any situation that may result from them. I don't often brag on my daughter (or maybe I do, isn't that my job?!) but, she is a tough little girl. I am so proud of her. She has been through so much in her young life. And she never complains. Ever. She takes her medicine, goes to the doctor, gets blood drawn and she never complains. She is my little hero!
Anyway, I do not know how often I will get to post in the next couple of weeks. But, I will be back!

Autumn has to be in the hospital from September 23-25. The EEG has to be done before the Pet scan and MRI. And, the Pet scan can only be done on a Thursday. I did not want her to have to miss this much school, but we don't really have a choice. Thanks for all the prayers!

Week 2 is going something like this: So much laundry is being caught up on 2 crazy things happened. 1. I am about to run out of hangers. 2. I found some clothes at the bottom that I forgot I even had!
